Will a 650W PSU Work for My RTX 3080 Build?

I'm considering upgrading my PC with an RTX 3080 12GB and I want to make sure my power supply is up to the task. Currently, I have a B650M motherboard, a Ryzen 5 7600 CPU, and 32GB of RAM. My power supply is rated at 650W and I plan to undervolt the GPU. Is this setup enough to support the RTX 3080?

What specific PSU do you have? It's important because some models handle spikes better than others.

It's a Corsair CX650 80 Plus Bronze.

Yeah, that's a decent one, but it's rated as tier C, so just monitor it and make sure it's performing well!

Yeah, 650W should be enough for your setup. Your CPU and GPU together will likely draw under 500W, so that should work well! Just keep an eye on your temps and overall performance.

It should be fine, but make sure it's a good quality PSU! If it's not great, you might run into issues with power spikes causing shutdowns.

A quick tip: you can check your setup on PCPartPicker to see compatibility and power needs!

Thanks for the tip!
