Hey everyone, I'm in the final stages of upgrading my PC and thinking about getting a UPS system. My planned setup is estimated to draw 839W at peak, which is below the 900W limit of the UPS I'm considering. However, I'm worried about the compatibility given that my power supply is rated at 1000W. I don't really understand how the power supply and UPS work together, so I wanted to clear up any potential issues. Could the higher wattage of my power supply create a problem with the 900W UPS?

You're totally fine! The PSU will only deliver what your system actually needs. So even though your power supply is rated at 1000W, it won't push that much power unless your components require it. Your setup is well under the UPS's capacity, so it shouldn't be an issue at all. No worries!
