I'm considering adding a second NVMe SSD to my PC and came across the Fanxiang M.2 NVMe SSD. I'm curious if it will fit into my MAG Z790 Tomahawk motherboard. If I get it, do I need to remove any parts for installation? Here's a link to the SSD I'm looking at: [Fanxiang SSD on eBay](https://www.ebay.com/itm/315847323717?_skw=1+tb+SSD+NVME&itmmeta=01JSD7XYW7V6PHR6QNPV7XRB1S&hash=item4989f7b045:g:lOYAAOSwqppnfPgc&itmprp=enc%3AAQAKAAAA0FkggFvd1GGDu0w3yXCmi1cDJ%2BmQC%2Bzxnkr5BUcnUwUBstf8qmq7K3wIQHzuhsfCBZMRn%2B%2BTgc40OrNTRIiVh65kQQS5CbsEqm%2FKCsIPaE4qMnw2AuBHOjqi06LdyjoBlCuyupB3w5CP%2FQVVLE%2B9zVy8o3GxVdFxaSmx%2FYAmDzjm8mWylRecWDosbwEdNDnWrb5BGOydmv4KPuRrFjeqqgYTcoipF6qtYg%2FwMTHQ1twzsB%2BYsg%2BKzKEB4bTHYIGCeah114NMGmLb1iIJ5kHEFM0%3D%7Ctkp%3ABlBMUKTu96fLZQ). Also, for reference, here's what my motherboard looks like: [MAG Z790 Tomahawk](https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?threads/please-help-how-to-install-m-2-in-slot-2-and-3-in-mag-z790-tomahawk.385532/) Can someone confirm if this setup will work?

Yes, it should fit without any issues! Just remember to remove the long screw that holds the heat shields for slots 01, 03, and 04. Those are blocking the spaces for the M.2 drives. As for the second heat shield, I agree it looks way too wide for standard 2280 NVMe drives!
Thanks! Also, I found another SSD that's under $50. Do you think it would be good for gaming as well? It's a 1TB model. I'm curious if those cheaper ones are reliable or if they’re too good to be true.
I’d say that SSD would definitely be a solid pick for gaming! If you’re running an i7-14700KF and a GeForce RTX 3070, it should complement your system nicely. Just make sure you have enough cooling since NVMe drives can get a bit hot.
