I'm currently running an R5 8600G with an MSI B650M Gaming WiFi motherboard that supports PCIe 4.0. I'm thinking about upgrading to an RTX 5060 GPU, which uses PCIe 5.0. Will this setup work well together? What should I expect in terms of compatibility and performance?

It should be perfectly fine! PCIe 4.0 is still widely supported, and PCIe 5.0 cards are backwards compatible. So your new GPU will work on that motherboard without any issues.
