Struggling to Boot Windows from USB After Hardware Upgrade

I recently upgraded my CPU from an Intel i7-8700k to a Ryzen 7 9800x3d, and along with that, I also got a new motherboard, DDR5 RAM, and a cooler. Now, I'm having a real hard time booting Windows from a USB drive for a fresh install. Every time I try, I get stuck on a screen that says 'Your PC/Device needs to be repaired' with error code 0xc0000098. I've tried all the typical fixes to access the Windows Recovery Environment, but nothing's working. I even re-downloaded the Windows installation media onto the USB to ensure it wasn't corrupted. I'm starting to wonder if I should try a different USB drive altogether. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

First off, definitely try using Rufus to create your bootable USB. Here’s what you do: Select your USB stick in Rufus, pick your downloaded ISO, and set the partition scheme to GPT with UEFI as the target system. When setting the file system, use NTFS if your ISO is larger than 4GB or FAT32 for Windows 11. Remember to uncheck any CSM or Legacy options since Ryzen 7000 series is best with pure UEFI. After that, check your BIOS settings. Boot into BIOS by hitting DEL or F2 and ensure UEFI is enabled and Secure Boot is disabled temporarily. Also, set SATA/NVMe mode to AHCI and consider disabling Fast Boot to help detect the USB drive. After that, you can plug it in and boot from it! Good luck!

Thanks for the detailed steps! I’m planning to try this out tomorrow. I don’t have another PC at home right now, and it’s late, so I’ll head to a friend's place. Really appreciate the help!
