I'm considering upgrading my system from a Ryzen 5 1600 and RX 570 to a Ryzen 5 5500X3D and RX 7600. My current setup uses a B450 Gaming X motherboard, 16GB of DDR4 RAM in two 8GB sticks, and a 600W power supply. Is the upgrade worthwhile, and will I run into compatibility issues, motherboard VRM limitations, power problems, or a significant CPU/GPU bottleneck? The power supply is a GameMax 600W 80+ Bronze model.

If you are flexible on the graphics card, compare prices with an Intel Arc B580. It can offer better performance than the RX 7600 for a similar price, depending on local availability. Your B450 board should still be fine with either card after a BIOS update, and the motherboard VRM should not be a concern for this class of Ryzen processor.
The upgrade should be compatible once the BIOS is updated. Before buying anything, though, check the exact power-supply model and its condition. A 600W rating is enough on paper for an RX 7600 system, but GameMax units vary in quality, so the specific model matters more than the wattage label. If your budget allows, replacing it with a well-reviewed unit would make the build safer.
The motherboard should handle the upgrade, but update the BIOS to the latest version before installing the new CPU. Afterward, enable Resizable BAR and Smart Access Memory if those options are available. The Ryzen 5 5500X3D and RX 7600 should pair reasonably well for gaming, without a major bottleneck.
