Hey everyone! I'm looking to upgrade my old gaming PC. I've got a Ryzen 7 1700, 16 GB of RAM, and an MSI B450 Tomahawk motherboard with an 800-watt power supply. Can I install an RTX 5060 Ti on this setup? Also, will there be any bottleneck issues with this combination?

You definitely can install a 5060 Ti in your setup! But yes, you might run into some bottleneck issues due to the Ryzen 7 1700 being a bit slower. That said, getting the 5060 Ti now isn’t a bad idea at all. When you eventually upgrade your CPU down the line, you'll unlock even more performance from that GPU.

Absolutely, you can install the 5060 Ti! Just keep in mind that while the CPU will limit performance a bit now, it doesn't mean you shouldn't invest in the GPU. You could always upgrade your CPU later, potentially even to a 5600 or 5700X for better pairing down the road.

While you can install the 5060 Ti, expect some bottlenecks with that CPU. It’s not a huge issue since all systems have some limitations, but to fully utilize the GPU's capabilities, you'll eventually want to upgrade both your CPU and motherboard.

The Ryzen 7 1700 might indeed bottleneck the performance of the 5060 Ti. If you've got the budget for it, consider upgrading your CPU to at least a 5600 for better results overall. Still, buying the 5060 Ti would give you a solid foundation for future upgrades.
