I just purchased a brand new Ryzen 7 9800x3D from a professional seller on eBay, and they mentioned providing proof of purchase. If I ever need to use the warranty, will AMD accept it? Does the proof have to come from an official reseller, or is the proof from this seller sufficient?

Keep in mind that warranties often aren't transferable. If your name and payment method aren't on the original receipt, AMD might not accept it. This is especially true if you bought from a private seller, so it’s a bit risky assuming any warranty is valid when buying second-hand.
If the proof of purchase is the original receipt, then you should be good to go for warranty claims. If the seller is a recognized company and provides a valid receipt, that should also work. Just be cautious if it's a private seller making something up; that might not fly with AMD.

Yeah, but this seller claims to be a professional and has a receipt from his company, so should that change anything?
