I'm currently using a GTX 1050, but my dad isn't keen on me buying a used GPU. I was looking at a new 7600, but I'm wondering if it will drop in price for Black Friday. Do GPUs typically go on sale during this time?

In my experience, I noticed that prices on some models increase slightly leading up to Black Friday but then go on sale at regular prices. Some places might have decent deals on refurbished cards too, so keep an eye out!
Typically, lower-end GPUs see some discounts, but the more powerful ones often don't really go on sale. Sometimes sellers will just throw in a random bonus part and label it as a deal, which can be a letdown.
Can't say for sure, but from what I've seen, deals can be hit or miss. Just keep an eye on price drops as they come!
Honestly, Black Friday is often just a marketing gimmick. Retailers usually hike the prices before the sales, so by the time Black Friday rolls around, you're just paying the regular price. Easter might be a better time to score deals, especially for older stock that needs to clear out after the holidays.
If you're only upgrading once every few generations, it could be a smart move to get a GPU that supports DLSS4 or FSR4 to future-proof your setup for a little longer.
I looked into it a bit, and the 7600 is around $250 new, but you might want to consider the RTX 5060 which is only $50 more and has better performance. It could be worth it to snag the 5060 instead.

Thanks for the tip! I'll check that out.
