Hey everyone! I just built my first PC and noticed my CPU temps are hitting 80-85°C while playing games like Far Cry 5. I'm using an AMD Ryzen 5 9600X with an NH-U14S cooler. I recently discovered that all seven of my fans are set to exhaust (three on the side, three on top, and one in the back). My GPU is running fine at 55-60°C, but I'm concerned about my CPU. Would switching the three side fans to intake help lower those temperatures? Also, I noticed that my CPU heatsink barely touches the glass side panel of my case. Should I be worried about that? I can add three intake fans at the bottom, but I'm not sure if that's really necessary.

For optimal airflow, you might want to do something like this: have the three front fans pull air in, switch one of the top fans to intake, and keep the rest as exhaust. That way, you're creating a good airflow pattern throughout your case.
If you're still worried about temps, try undervolting your CPU in Ryzen Master. The temps you're seeing are fine for gaming, but if you're planning to do something more demanding like rendering, you might want to keep an eye on it. Just make sure you have a balance of intakes and exhausts for better performance.
Honestly, 80-85°C isn’t terrible for the 9600X—you're looking at a temperature range that's pretty normal under load. You might be overthinking it a bit. But yeah, switching to at least a couple of intake fans could help lower those CPU temps a little. Give it a shot and monitor the temps after you make the change!
Definitely switch those side fans to intake! It should improve airflow and help your CPU cool down a bit better. Just experiment and see what works best for your setup. You can always tweak it later if needed.
That sounds like a plan! I’ll let you guys know how it goes after I'm done tweaking!

Thanks for the reassurance! I’m going to switch the side fans to intake and see if there’s any difference.
