Will My New RAM Work with My Motherboard?

I recently upgraded my RAM from 8GB to 16GB using a Kingston Fury Beast 16GB 3600MT/s DDR4 CL17 DIMM. My motherboard is an Asrock B460M Pro4S/ac. I checked the motherboard's QVL, but the RAM isn't listed there. Since my motherboard supports DDR4, will this RAM still work? I can share a picture of both the motherboard and the RAM if needed!

It should work, but check if there are RAM sticks with the same or similar timing numbers listed on your motherboard's QVL. If you find some, your chances of getting the full performance from the memory are definitely higher.

Keep in mind, though, that your motherboard is capped at 2666MHz. So, does the specific RAM speed matter if your board won't utilize it?
