Hey everyone! I'm building a new gaming PC that I want to use with my ultrawide monitor at 1440p resolution. I'm trying to figure out if my specs can handle most current and future AAA games without any issues. Here's what I'm working with:
- CPU: Intel Core i5-12600K 3.7 GHz 10-Core Processor (€167.79)
- CPU Cooler: Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 SE 66.17 CFM CPU Cooler (€49.85)
- Motherboard: MSI PRO B760-P WIFI DDR4 ATX LGA1700 Motherboard (€104.90)
- Memory: Corsair Vengeance LPX 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR4-3600 CL18 Memory (€72.81)
- Storage: Samsung 990 EVO Plus 1 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 5.0 X2 NVME SSD (€79.00)
- Video Card: Gigabyte WINDFORCE SFF GeForce RTX 5070 Ti 16 GB Video Card (€768.00)
- Case: Corsair 4000D Airflow ATX Mid Tower Case (€118.43)
- Power Supply: MSI MAG A650GL 650 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply (€89.00)
- Keyboard: HP HyperX Alloy Core RGB Wired Gaming Keyboard (€42.90)
Total cost comes to around €1492.68. I've heard mixed opinions about the 5070 Ti; some say it's enough while others recommend more. Could anyone share their thoughts or experiences with a similar setup?

You'll definitely be okay with the 5070 Ti at 1440p. Just remember that games will continue to advance in graphics and may require upgrades down the line.
Your build should handle 1440p fine, but I’d recommend bumping your PSU up to at least 750W for a rig like this to ensure everything runs smoothly, especially with that 5070 Ti and -K series CPU.
Yes, the 5070 Ti can handle 1440p gaming well. Just make sure the rest of your components, especially the PSU, are solid so they don't hold you back.
The 5070 Ti should work great for 1440p gaming! It can even manage some low-end 4K. But honestly, I’d suggest considering an AMD Ryzen 5 7500F build instead. You'd get better value without compromising performance. Plus, here's a build with slightly different parts for a similar price you might want to check out! Thanks a lot for your reply! Seems like there's still a lot of improvement to go appreciate the advice.
Why stick with an older platform? For the same budget, an AM5 system will give you better performance and longevity. Check out this alternate build that goes for a newer setup.
Yea somebody pointed that out to me, so definitely changing that. Thanks!
Here’s another option if you want to consider it, it might be a bit more but worth it for future-proofing! [Link](https://nl.pcpartpicker.com/list/fChRmC)
I appreciate the advice! I saw another user post a better build that fits my needs.
