I'm super excited for the release of Elden Ring Nightreign and want to play it with my friends who all game on PC. I loved playing the original Elden Ring on my PS5, but my PC is a bit outdated. I checked the minimum requirements, and while everything meets the specs, my CPU falls short. It asks for an Intel Core i5-10600, but I have an Intel Core i5-8400. I'm not too tech-savvy, so I'm wondering just how bad it could be if I try to play it with this setup. Any advice would be really appreciated!

I recommend checking your full system specs to get a better picture. You're running an older GPU, and while some games can run on low settings, it might not be a great experience. You could face stuttering and lower frame rates, which might be disappointing, especially with how vibrant Elden Ring's graphics are.
You might run into performance issues with that CPU, especially since newer games tend to be more demanding. With your Intel Core i5-8400 and a GTX 1050 Ti, you're on the lower end of the specs. Shared experiences suggest that while the game may be technically playable, it might not be enjoyable due to low frame rates and long load times. Just keep in mind that optimization can vary a lot with new releases!
Yeah, I've seen similar systems struggle with newer titles. Just be prepared for not-so-great performance, especially when there are intense graphics on screen.
In my experience, games tend to be playable but not enjoyable on such lower specs. Expect low settings and more lagging, especially if the game itself isn't well-optimized at launch. Also, with your 1050 Ti, you're not just missing the CPU requirements, but the GPU ones as well. If I were you, I might hold off on buying the PC version until you can upgrade a bit. Just my two cents!
Good idea! Prioritizing smooth gameplay over jumping in right away could really save you some frustration.
Thanks for the heads up! I’ll definitely keep an eye on how it performs. I might need to consider upgrading if it’s too rough.
