Will my Ryzen 5 7600 and RTX 4060 setup experience a bottleneck?

I'm planning to build a PC with a Ryzen 5 7600 processor and an RTX 4060 with 8GB of VRAM. I've been hearing from friends that I should consider a GPU with 12GB instead. Now, I'm considering upgrading to a 5060 Ti with 16GB. I'm not sure if I should worry about bottlenecking with this combination. What do you all think?

That combo sounds solid! You shouldn't face any major bottleneck with the 5060 Ti and Ryzen 5 7600. You're good to go!

Phew! That's a relief to hear. I was worried about potential issues.

Honestly, the 5060 Ti pairs really well with the Ryzen 7600. You should be clear of any bottlenecks with this setup!

If you plan on gaming at 1080p, your Ryzen 5 7600 and the RTX 4060 should work wonderfully for almost all games. But if you want to push 1440p, then yeah, the 8GB VRAM might limit you. I’d recommend going for the 5060 Ti or RX 9060 XT with 16GB if you're looking for smoother performance at that resolution. The CPU won’t bottleneck either of those cards!

It’s a great combo overall, but just a heads up: get ready for some bottleneck on the GPU side in modern games. Remember, bottlenecks happen to all systems; it's just a matter of which part is holding back the others. Just relax and enjoy your new PC!

Keep in mind the 4060 might be more expensive than it should be. In the US, there are better options like the 7600 XT and even the 5060, which perform better for a similar price. Just do your homework before making a final decision!
