Will Switching to Linux Affect My Schoolwork?

I've been thinking about switching to Linux for a while now, but I have some concerns. I play a few games that won't work on Linux, but that's not a dealbreaker for me. My main worry is whether using Linux will mess with my school obligations. Specifically, will I be able to access Google Classroom and AP Classroom without issues?

In my experience, as long as you have access to the web, you won't have many issues with school apps. However, be careful with timing—don't make the switch during important school events like finals. It’s better to switch before or after so you’re not stressed about tech problems while you're studying.

Exactly! And consider dual-booting with Windows if you're really worried about compatibility. That way, you can switch back if needed.

You'll be fine! Most stuff, like Google Classroom, runs directly in your web browser, so it doesn't matter what OS you're on as long as your browser supports it. Everything should work smoothly as long as you're online.

Could you tell me which games you're concerned about? Linux has made leaps in compatibility, but it depends a lot on what you're playing.

Everything you need can typically be done on Linux, but it might take some extra effort to set things up. It's all about how much tweaking you're willing to do. For example, I had to run Windows just to use Excel during a test, but I mostly stick to Linux and love it!

Same here! I rarely use Windows now. Just know there might be a few occasions where you need it, but overall it's a great experience!
