I'm trying to find out if the G.SKILL Ripjaws S5 RAM (model F5-6000J3636F16GX2-RS5K) will work with my system, particularly with the XMP profile. I have an AMD Ryzen 5 9600X processor and I'm using the MSI B650 Gaming WiFi motherboard. I noticed that another RAM kit (F5-6000J3636F32GX2-RS5K) is listed in the QVL for the motherboard, so I'm hoping this one will be compatible too. Also, any advice on BIOS updates would be appreciated!

I'm about 99% sure it will work, especially since it supports EXPO. Just a heads up: you might need to update your BIOS using a USB drive before the system boots up, as many B650 motherboards don't support 9000 series CPUs out of the box. If you haven't bought the motherboard yet, a B850 board could be a better option for your 9600X. If you already have the B650, no worries! Just don't panic if it doesn't boot immediately; try the BIOS update first.
Most likely, yes! The QVL (Qualified Vendor List) is a good sign since it means your motherboard vendor has tested the RAM and confirmed it works. Given that the 32GB version works, the 16GB kit should also be fine. Just remember that most AM5 boards show EXPO (Extended Profiles for Overclocking) instead of XMP, which is Intel's timing scheme.
But just to clarify, the RAM only supports Intel XMP, so keep that in mind!
