I'm currently gaming on a Ryzen 5 3400G paired with a GTX 1660 Super, primarily playing CS2 and some other FPS games. I've been facing frequent FPS drops, often dipping below 70 while playing. If I switch to a Ryzen 5 5600X, will it enhance my performance? And just how noticeable will the improvement be?

Definitely a massive improvement! I switched to a Ryzen 5 5600X, and I consistently get over 300 FPS at medium settings with an RTX 5060. You can expect a big boost!

Compare benchmarks on YouTube for your current CPU/GPU combo in CS2 to see potential performance. Just looking at some benchmarks can help gauge what you might expect after the upgrade.

You should check how much your GPU is being utilized during gameplay. If it's significantly below 100%, there's a good chance your CPU is bottlenecking performance. Upgrading to a 5600X could definitely help, but the extent of the improvement depends on how much your current setup is being held back.

Absolutely, upgrading would make a significant difference. Although I can’t give you an exact number, your FPS drops are likely due to your CPU being the weak link in your setup.
