Will upgrading to 32GB of RAM improve my PC performance for gaming and streaming?

I'm considering upgrading my RAM from 16GB to 32GB because I use my PC for streaming, gameplay recording, video editing, and gaming, mostly Marvel Rivals. My current specs are a Ryzen 5 5500 CPU, RTX 2060 GPU, and I've got a 750-watt power supply. I'm curious if the RAM upgrade will make a noticeable difference for these tasks or if I should focus on upgrading something else instead.

In short, if your RAM hits around 14GB during usage, upgrading to 32GB should reduce micro-stuttering and improve multitasking. Just remember, DDR4 prices are rising, so it’s a good idea to upgrade soon before it gets pricier.

Upgrading your RAM to 32GB can definitely help, especially with multitasking while streaming and editing. However, your GPU is starting to slow things down more than your RAM. If you're not hitting the maximum with 16GB, the upgrade might not be as impactful as getting a new GPU.

I've been monitoring my RAM, and it goes up to around 13GB during heavy use, which has made me rethink the upgrade. It sounds like the 32GB would be a good addition if I'm close to the limit.

Yes, I recommend upgrading to 32GB! These days, 16GB isn't really enough for gaming and streaming. Just keep an eye on your current RAM usage and see if you're running out often.

That’s good advice! I actually hit close to 22GB usage on some games, so I think the upgrade is necessary for better performance.

To really see if you need more RAM, check your Task Manager while gaming or streaming. If you're consistently maxing out your 16GB, go for that upgrade. Otherwise, a GPU upgrade could provide a more noticeable boost in your gaming experience.

I've noticed my system stutters a bit during intense scenes, which could be tied to RAM limits. It makes sense to look at my GPU too, especially since it could hold me back.
