Windows 11 Causing Boot Loop Issues – Help!

Hey everyone! I've been having a nightmare with my ASUS Rog Strix 17 laptop since Windows 11 updates started causing issues. Initially, back in February, I tried shutting it down, but it was taking too long, so I force shut it off. The next day, I was met with a 'Your computer has a problem' error, leading me through endless repair loops. I ran all sorts of checks like SFC and attempted Safe Mode, but kept hitting a 'CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED' error.

Fast forward, I ended up getting a new SSD since I could still access my files. Everything was great until recently, when another update popped up. I thought it was proceeding normally when I shut it down, but today it started installing updates and now I'm back in the same dreaded boot loop! I've searched for answers but couldn't find anything concrete. Removing updates didn't help either. Is it just me, or does Microsoft expect us to keep reinstalling Windows? Is there a safer method for dealing with this? I also saw someone mentioning SSD firmware updates—could that be related to my issues? Any advice would be appreciated, thanks!

Have you tried creating a Windows Recovery USB? It can really help with startup repairs. If you have one, just boot from it and select Start-up repair. If you don’t, you can easily make one following the link I found from Microsoft’s support page.

Yeah, I tried that before to no avail. I’m hesitant about doing a 'reinstall Windows but keep my files'—is that generally safe? I’ve backed up my stuff already, but it feels like a ticking time bomb waiting for this issue to strike again!
