Hey everyone,
I'm having a tough time with my Windows installation. I upgraded my motherboard, RAM, and CPU yesterday, but I reused my old SSD without formatting it first — definitely not my smartest move! After a few hours, I finally got the SSD to show up as an installable drive.
I've cleaned and converted the SSD to GPT format, but now I'm stuck. The Windows installer keeps failing at the 10% mark while trying to install from a bootable USB. Here's what I've already tried:
1. Cleaned and reformatted the drive
2. Confirmed I'm in Windows UEFI mode
3. Redone the Windows media installation
4. Followed all the advice I could find on the topic of installation failing at 10%
I could really use some guidance here!

Is your installation media on a new USB stick? Sometimes using an old one can cause issues. You might also want to look for any log files on the SSD when it fails, there could be clues there.
It sounds like the issue may be attributed to either a corrupt installation media, an uninitialized TPM, or a bad secure boot signature.
That makes sense, especially since I forgot to initialize my M.2 drive before reinstalling. I recreated the install media three times yesterday, so I’ll have to check the TPM first.
I haven’t used a new stick yet, but I’m getting one soon. I want to rule that out. Since the SSD is clean now, there shouldn't be anything left on it.
