I'm building my first PC and I'm running into an issue with my RAM installation. I have two 16GB DDR4 sticks, and I'm confident about where they go on the motherboard. However, when I insert the RAM, I hear a crackling sound, which I know isn't normal. I've made sure the RAM is aligned properly with the notch in the slot, but I'm concerned about whether I'm inserting it too slowly or if this is something I need to be worried about. Any advice would be appreciated!

It’s not really crackling, those sounds are likely from the pins making contact with the RAM. Just ensure you're pushing it in evenly until you hear the click, that’s how you know it's secure.
Glad to hear it worked out! Keep an eye on those cables, they can make or break your build.
When you're installing the RAM, it should slide in smoothly and you'll hear a definite "click" when it's properly seated. If you’re hearing cracking noises, that’s definitely not a good sign! Make sure you’re pushing it down firmly until it clicks into place on both ends.
That's exactly what I'm experiencing! I thought it was normal because the notch aligns perfectly.
Yeah, that sound typically indicates something's not right. Double-check your alignment and try pushing it in more firmly.

Thanks, I just went for it and it worked! I was just nervous for no reason. Now I'm onto cable management!
