I've been using an iPhone for years, but I'm starting to shift my focus towards handhelds with TUI functionality. Can anyone suggest some Linux handheld devices I should consider? And while I'm getting ready to transition, is there anything I can add or use on my iPhone to help me practice and develop my skills?

If you’re looking for something budget-friendly, a cheap Android device with Termux is definitely worth checking out! It’ll give you a solid Linux experience without breaking the bank.
TUI and CLI have been essential for a long time. Even Microsoft moved from DOS to PowerShell, so you’re on the right track. A lot of handheld devices are compatible with Linux, which gives you plenty of options to choose from. You might also find some apps that allow CLI use on your iPhone, which could help you get familiar with it.
I’ll look into that.
It sounds like you’re aiming for more substance in your tech experience. If that's what you're after, try out iSH on your iPhone. It's free on the App Store and can be a fun way to experiment with Linux-like command lines right on your phone!
Priorities mean less fluff, more substance. More using my brain.

Good to know, thanks!
