I'm experiencing some lag in Minecraft, and while my FPS stays between 140 and 170, my 1% lows are really concerning, ranging from 30 to 60. I'm not sure what's causing this drop. Here are my specs:
- 32 GB DDR4 RAM
- Ryzen 7 5800X3D
- Deepcool AK400 Zero Dark Plus cooler
- RTX 4070
I'm using several mods including Dynamic FPS, Iris Shaders, LambDynamicLight, Litematica, MaliLib, ModernFix, Simple Voice Chat, Sodium, and Xaero's World and Mini Map. Can anyone help me figure out what might be going on?

Also, consider closing any overlays like the Nvidia overlay if you're using it. Sometimes they can interfere and cause problems with performance.
A quick fix can be to remove mods one at a time to see which one is causing the issue. Some mods can conflict and lead to performance drops!
Have you checked how much RAM is allocated to Minecraft? Sometimes it’s capped at 2GB by default, which isn't enough, especially with multiple mods. You can change this in the Minecraft launcher settings.
It sounds like you might be having stuttering issues when loading or rendering new chunks, especially if you’re exploring new areas or building in busy ones. The shaders you're using could also be contributing to the frame drops when things get hectic. Maybe try to simplify things when building, or choose areas that aren't as crowded with details.
Locking your FPS to a value that's a bit lower than your average could help smooth out gameplay. If you’re currently locking it, try matching it to your monitor's refresh rate for a more stable experience.
