I currently have a powerful desktop setup at home, but I'm looking to buy a laptop for some mobile work, especially during breaks at the office or when I'm outdoors. A friend is selling me an HP Elitebook 850 G6 for about €200, which has a 512GB SSD, 16GB RAM, and an Intel Core i5-8365U CPU with a 14.0" display. I'm planning to install Linux Fedora on it. Do you think this setup is sufficient for web development? I'm a bit worried about the age of the CPU. Is it a decent deal?

You can also consider using the laptop as a remote client if your main PC is powerful enough. I use a similar setup and can work on heavy tasks from my older laptop by connecting to my office rig. There are tools like Parsec or Tailscale to facilitate that if you're interested!
