Why Does My Ethernet Connection Keep Dropping with This Repeater?

I've been dealing with this frustrating issue since I got my repeater. My internet speed used to be around 200 MB/s, but it randomly drops to about 50 KB/s. This is especially frustrating on my computer, which is stuck at 50 KB/s most of the time and sometimes even disconnects completely. I've tried using a different Ethernet cable, but that hasn't helped. My motherboard doesn't have WiFi capability, so I'm really stuck here. I'm using a NOS router and a repeater connected to it. A technician came to check everything and said it was all fine, but I still have this problem. I also have two other repeaters in my house that are supposed to work together for better performance, but only this particular one seems to be causing issues. I've even swapped out repeaters, but the problem persists.

What do you mean exactly by "repeater"? Are you talking about a device that extends the reach of your network?

Yeah, it's a device that gets the internet from the router and extends it to communicate with the other repeaters for better speed. It’s hard to explain!

Have you thought about switching to WiFi instead? You could get a USB WiFi adapter if that's an option. Also, what does your setup look like? Is it Router > Ethernet to repeater > Ethernet to your computer?

Yes, that’s the setup! Router goes to the repeater, then to my computer. I might consider getting that WiFi adapter if this keeps happening.
