Why won’t my AirPods play music from Spotify?

Hey everyone! I've been having a frustrating issue with my AirPods Pro. They connect to my phone just fine, but when I try to play music on Spotify, the sound just comes out of my iPhone's speakers instead. I've already attempted to forget and reconnect my AirPods, but no luck. I'd really appreciate any help. Thanks!

You might want to check a couple of things: 1) Make sure the output is set to your AirPods by going into the Control Center and pressing and holding the volume button. 2) Another option is to completely uninstall and then reinstall the Spotify app to see if that helps.

Tried both of those already, and it didn't change anything. Ugh! Even worse, my AirPods won't play audio from YouTube or any other apps either. They still make the 'connected' sound, but don't show up when I try to select them in the audio options.

Have you tried selecting the AirPods as the output device directly in the Spotify app? Sometimes it doesn't automatically switch over. Just a suggestion!

I know, right? I tried that too, but after selecting them, it just spins for a while and then defaults back to the phone's speakers. It's so annoying!
