I'm trying to find a safe YouTube to MP3 converter that works well on my Mac. I attempted to use the command line tool yt-dlp, but it keeps giving me a parsing error. The video streams perfectly in my browser, and I don't think my IP is blocked by YouTube. I'm on a MacBook Air M3 running the latest Sequoia 15.5. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

If you don't mind using a web-based tool, try notube.cc. It's pretty hit or miss on speed, but it always gets the job done without changing file names, which is nice.
It sounds like yt-dlp should work, but maybe you need to install ffmpeg first since it's often required for it to function properly. Check the documentation for yt-dlp to see if you missed any steps there!
Have you thought about using Cobalt Tools? It's a web-based option that lets you download videos easily without installing anything on your Mac.
