I'm curious about the recent Humble Bundle featuring SQL and database books. Are these titles good enough to provide a solid foundation for someone like me, who lacks sufficient resources on databases? I took a basic SQL class in my degree, but I really want to deepen my knowledge and find helpful references moving forward. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

In my opinion, you can't go wrong with O'Reilly books. They’re usually pretty comprehensive. But I get your concern—if the bundle doesn’t cover what you currently need, like reviewing basics and expanding enough for a starter project, then it might not be worth prioritizing. However, I have had success with their books in the past!

I picked up that Humble Bundle too, and I think it's a solid deal! It’s perfect if you’re looking to build on what you learned in your basic SQL class. The books cover not just syntax but also dive into things like query optimization and relational design theory, plus some NoSQL content. You might not use every book right away, but they’ll make a great reference library in the long run. If you want to strengthen your database skills for real-world projects, I'd say go for it! Just remember to balance reading with hands-on practice.
