How do I properly unzip a .gz file for Unity?

I downloaded a Unity package from OneDrive, but when I tried to unzip it, I ended up with a .gz file. After my first attempt at unzipping the .gz file, I got a chaotic mix of folders and files with random names made up of letters and numbers. In each folder, there are two files, one named 'file' and another named 'meta.file'. I'm trying to import these into Unity for VRChat, but I'm lost and nothing seems to work. Just to note, I'm using Windows 11 and Unity version 2022.3.23f1.

You could try checking those files again in Unity. Sometimes, the files appear messed up, but Unity recognizes them just fine. However, if it's still giving you trouble, you might want to check the documentation for the package or see if there are any specific instructions for Unity imports.

Don't worry too much about the random names; Unity uses `.meta` files to manage assets. But if the files aren't working in Unity, it could be that something went wrong during the extraction process. If you can share the link to the package, we might be able to help troubleshoot further!

It sounds like you're dealing with a `.gz` file that probably didn't get unzipped properly. Make sure you have a tool on Windows that can handle `.gz` files, like 7-Zip or WinRAR. Once you unzip it correctly, the `.meta` files are normal for Unity, so you're on the right track! Just keep an eye out for any specific file formats Unity needs.
