Hey everyone, I'm facing a frustrating issue with my Windows 11 system that's got 32GB of DDR4 RAM. It seems there's a RAM leak that I initially traced back to the Epic Games Launcher, but even after uninstalling it, the problem persists. When I've checked the Task Manager, I noticed the Epic Games Launcher was using about 20GB of RAM, and closing it dropped my RAM usage to a much more manageable 7% while idle. Now, without the launcher installed, I'm still seeing high RAM usage and can't figure out what's causing it. Here's a rundown of everything I've tried so far: 1. Ran Windows Memory Diagnostic (no errors) 2. Used RAMMap to look for locked drivers and nonpaged pool usage 3. Checked high-byte memory tags with PoolMon 4. Looked for Epic-related tasks in Task Scheduler (none found) 5. Disabled Epic-related startup entries in Autoruns 6. After uninstalling the launcher, my RAM usage went back up after a restart 7. Uninstalled Epic Online Services (EOS) but had no issues after that 8. Turned off Fast Startup, but it didn't help 9. In Safe Mode, RAM use was only at 8% 10. Ran sfc /scannow and repaired corrupted files 11. Conducted a full malware scan with Malwarebytes 12. Scanned with Windows Defender and found nothing. If anyone has insights or suggestions, I would really appreciate your help!

It sounds like your issue might not just be limited to the Epic Games Launcher, especially since you've already uninstalled it. Sometimes, leftover services or background processes can still run and cause RAM spikes. Have you checked Task Manager again for any unusual processes? If possible, screenshot the Processes tab sorted by memory usage. That could give you a better clue about what's hogging your RAM now. As for BIOS settings or software, be cautious—there are risks when modifying those.
Also, try looking for any hidden services in the Services app. Sometimes they don’t show up neatly in Task Manager.
I encountered a similar issue with a different game. After closing it, the Epic-related web processes kept eating up RAM even though I uninstalled everything. You might want to check if there's a game (like Fate Trigger) causing this too. Sometimes games have leftover processes that need to be manually terminated.
That’s a good point! It can be frustrating when these services stick around after uninstalling, messing with system resources.
Yeah, even if you’ve removed everything, check your system tray or use a process explorer tool to see if any remnants are still hanging on.

Yeah, definitely check those processes! You might be surprised by what’s still running in the background.
