Hey everyone! I recently upgraded my CPU from a Ryzen 3800X to a 5700X, thinking it would boost my gaming performance. I've got a 9060XT GPU, an X570 motherboard with the latest BIOS, and 32GB of RAM. I was seeing about 90-100 FPS in God of War: Ragnarok at ultra settings on 1080p with the 3800X. However, after swapping to the 5700X, I expected a nice gain in FPS, but I'm still getting the same frame rates. The only improvement seems to be the temps, which are now around 50-60 °C. I'm wondering if I would notice a difference if I upgrade again to the 5700X3D, or should I just keep my current setup? Any thoughts? Cheers!

It sounds like you might be GPU limited at 1080p, especially if lowering your settings gives you a nice FPS bump. When you max out the settings, your graphics card is likely the bottleneck rather than the CPU. The CPU only helps if it's the part that's holding back performance. Have you checked if your FPS improves with lower settings?

Yeah, when I switched to low settings, my FPS jumped to around 140-150! I figured I was totally GPU limited but was hoping for better from the 5700X.
