Is 50 Mbps Enough for Streaming and Gaming for Two People?

I just moved into an apartment with my girlfriend, and I need to set up Wi-Fi right away. I'm wondering if 50 Mbps will be enough for us. We might be watching YouTube at the same time, or I could be gaming while she's streaming something. Also, is it realistic to expect to stream 4K content with that speed? Any help would be awesome!

You should be good with 50 Mbps for streaming and gaming. Gaming actually doesn't require much bandwidth at all, usually under 1 Mbps. Just be aware that downloads will be significantly slower; a big game might take quite a while to download if someone else is using the internet at the same time.

Exactly! You might find yourself waiting a bit if you’re downloading a massive game while streaming is happening. But generally, your day-to-day usage should be smooth.

50 Mbps should work just fine for both streaming and gaming most of the time. While two 4K streams might struggle a bit, for general use, you’ll probably just notice longer download times for large files. If you're just in a typical gaming or streaming scenario, it should hold up well!
