Hey everyone! I recently found out about Nyarchlinux and I'm really interested in trying out Linux. I'm curious if it's possible to set it up to dual boot with Windows 11 on my laptop, just in case I don't like this distribution. Any advice would be much appreciated!

If you read their site for just a bit, you'd see they explain this. You can install Nyarch in a few ways: entirely replace Windows, dual boot on the same disk, or use a separate disk for it. To dual boot on the same disk, you just need to shrink your Windows partition first. It’s all doable!

How does dual booting on a separate disk work, especially on a laptop?

According to the Nyarchlinux website, it’s an Arch-based distro, but they mention there could be some bugs due to their smaller development team. So, they generally advise against using it as a daily driver. Just keep that in mind if you’re thinking about dual booting it with Windows 11!

Are you saying it’s not suitable for everyday use? Is that specific to Nyarchlinux, or is it the case for Arch Linux in general?

You might find some helpful installation tips in the wiki, and it’s suggested to always use an ethernet cable when installing. Also, be sure to remove the boot media once you're done! That can save you some headaches later on.
