I'm considering switching from Windows to Linux because I'm fed up with issues like Copilot and Windows recall. My laptop has a dGPU, and I think Linux will work better on AMD than NVIDIA. I'm looking for a user-friendly Linux distribution since I'll be partitioning my drive due to having only one SSD slot. I've heard Linux Mint is easy for beginners, but I'm also eyeing Arch, although I think that might be too complex for my first try. Any recommendations?

You can’t go wrong with Linux Mint! It’s super beginner-friendly and sets up easily, especially if you have an NVIDIA GPU. Just boot it up and it auto-configures for hybrid Intel/NVIDIA setups without a hassle.
I suggest starting with either Ubuntu or Mint. While some folks criticize Ubuntu for its Snap feature, there's always a solution for any problem you encounter online. This makes troubleshooting easier for newbies!

Honestly, I had to switch from Ubuntu to Mint because getting simple things like Google Drive set up was a pain. Mint just works right out of the box!
