I'm having trouble installing Windows 11 after I set up Linux Mint on my computer. I tried using the built-in USB image writer, but it didn't work, and for some reason, Ventoy won't launch either. What can I do to get Windows 11 installed?

To install Windows 11 on a USB from Linux, your best options are WoeUSB or Ventoy. I recommend checking out WoeUSB; it should do the job for you!
If you want a reliable Windows 11 USB, the easiest way is to use a Windows PC to download the Media Creation tool from Microsoft. Just format a USB drive (FAT32, exFAT, or NTFS) beforehand, and the tool will write Windows 11 to it. Keep in mind that if your BIOS has Secure Boot enabled, Ventoy might not work as it needs the original Windows USB.
Can you share a bit more about the issue? When you say 'it did not work' and 'Ventoy does not launch', that’s a bit vague. What exact steps are you taking? Any error messages? Just so you know, some ISOs don't play nice with Ventoy, so you might have better luck using Rufus instead to write the ISO to your USB.
I ran into similar problems when trying to install. Here’s how I solved it: I created a virtual machine with Windows running on it, enabled USB support, then downloaded the Windows ISO and used Rufus to flash it to the USB. It worked like a charm!
That's what I thought too, but I wasn't sure if I could access USBs through VMs. I’ll definitely give it a try.

Thank you! I will try using WoeUSB.
