Hey everyone! I'm having a tough time trying to burn some CDs with CDBurnerXP. I'm using CD-Rs and all my files are mp3s. My first attempt at burning at 24x (the default speed) didn't work at all; the disc was read as blank. On my second try, I set it to 16x, and while it plays fine on my laptop, my standalone CD player just sounded static with some weird rewind noises. This is super discouraging for me since I've never done this before. Any advice?

Are you burning the CDs as audio or data? Some CD players can't read MP3s, which might explain the static. Slower burn speeds tend to be more reliable too, so you might want to give that a shot! If you're using an MP3 disc and it's not working, your CD player might not be compatible with it.
I'm definitely burning them as audio CDs! I wonder if the CD player I bought could be defective. It's a Deluxe Products portable one, but I really don't know about its quality.
