Why is my LAN switch not working while WiFi is fine?

I'm currently dealing with an issue where my home internet is connected through a 16-port gigabit switch, but none of the devices connected to it seem to be working. I tested the cable by plugging a device directly into the modem, and that worked perfectly. I'm looking for some troubleshooting tips or fixes for this problem. Any suggestions?

It sounds like your cable might not be connected to the router properly. Try plugging your test device directly into the switch side of the cable that's coming from the router. If that works, then plug the switch back in and connect your device to the switch using a cable that you know is good. If neither works, your switch might be dead. Check if it has any lights on it to see if it’s getting power and functioning. If it’s a smart switch, someone might have messed with the settings, or it could have gotten corrupted; a factory reset could help. If it’s a dumb switch, they’re generally inexpensive to replace.

I did some more testing and unplugged everything. I started plugging devices back in one by one, and they worked initially. But when I got to some of the last plugs, one of the switches stopped responding again. It was weird because I removed the most recently plugged cable, but one of the first plugged cables stopped working too.
