Hey everyone, I've run into a problem where my ISP has blocked all torrents. Even using a VPN doesn't seem to help, which is puzzling because torrenting typically operates on a peer-to-peer network. I'd love to understand how my ISP managed to block it and, more importantly, how I can get back to using torrents. Also, I realized that Cloudflare isn't a proper VPN, so I'm hoping for other solutions since it feels inefficient to rely on a VPN every time I'm using my PC.

This is actually a known issue in some regions, like Egypt, where it's illegal to access blocked services. Make sure to research safe methods to get around this, but be careful sharing workarounds since people usually stay quiet about effective solutions.
Honestly, if your VPN isn't doing the job, you might want to check if it's a proper VPN service. Some just don’t obscure torrent traffic well. A better option might be to get a legit subscription to a service like Mullvad that’s known for their P2P support.
Another thing to try is switching the port your torrent client is using. Try setting it to port 80 which is often overlooked, or even using different VPN protocols like WireGuard. Seedboxes are also a good way to completely bypass ISP restrictions if you're really into torrenting.
Also, consider using a wired connection if you’re currently on Wi-Fi. I faced a similar blocking issue and switching to wired helped me out!
It sounds like your ISP is implementing some form of blocking beyond regular methods. If you're seeing issues across all users of that ISP, they might be doing some deep packet inspection (DPI) or blocking specific ports used by torrents. Have you looked into changing your torrent client settings or trying to enable encryption?
I use uTorrent too, but I haven't adjusted the settings. What should I change?
But considering he's avoiding paying for things, that might be a stretch.
