I'm trying to find a Linux distribution that works well with my ASUS Tuf Gaming A16 laptop. I'm a bit of a Linux newbie, having last used Ubuntu ages ago, so I'm looking for something that's beginner-friendly and hassle-free. Ideally, the distro I choose should be:

- Good for beginners and ready to use out of the box
- Compatible with my specific laptop
- Capable of handling everyday tasks like web browsing, music, video watching, document writing, and spreadsheets
- Suitable for digital drawing with Krita
- Able to run local-only games like Sims and Zoo Tycoon

I'm considering Ubuntu or Fedora but would love some advice. I plan to install the distro on a 1TB flash drive since my laptop isn't set up yet and has no important data on it. I've heard mixed things about compatibility with this laptop, so I'm also eyeing Zorin OS as a potential option.

You could also try Kubuntu LTS for a solid graphical experience, or Lubuntu if your laptop is low on RAM — it’s lightweight and still pretty user-friendly.

Consider Nobara OS for a gaming-focused distro, or Neptune OS if you're looking for something stable. Both are worth a shot!

I'd recommend trying out Ubuntu or Linux Mint for a solid experience as a beginner. They're both user-friendly and have great support. I'm currently using Fedora, which is awesome, but it does involve a bit of configuration after the install. If you want something like Fedora that’s easier for new users, check out Bazzite. Also, if you use a drawing tablet, make sure to verify if your tablet's manufacturer provides Linux drivers, as that's a common hurdle when switching to Linux.

Thanks for the tip! It looks like Wacom tablets have good support on Linux, so I should be fine. Really appreciate the heads up!
