I was trying to clean a friend's PS3 disc drive because it had trouble reading discs. Unfortunately, while using a can of compressed air, the straw shot inside the drive! I really don't want to disassemble the whole thing to retrieve it. The entry point has two tiny flaps, making it nearly impossible to see or use tweezers effectively. I've also heard the disc hitting the straw when trying to run a game. Does anyone have suggestions for a tool or method to extract the straw without taking the whole system apart?

Honestly, you might just want to consider getting your friend a new disc drive. It could save a lot of hassle in the long run!
You could also use a long toothpick or a thin piece of wire to try pulling the straw out sideways. Just ensure you're super careful not to damage anything in there!
Try feeding some sticky tape into the drive and see if you can attach it to the straw. It might be tricky getting it past those felt flaps, but it could be worth a try!
That might be a good idea. Like with an equally thin straw. Gonna be a pain getting it through the felt flaps, but worth a shot.

God damn it. Lol I was afraid of that.
