Hey everyone! I'm currently in 10th grade. Our school emphasizes math, science, and research, and we have to conduct an actual study this year. My project focuses on using machine learning and computer vision to evaluate mango quality. After our last title defense, we decided it would be best to develop an app instead of a machine. The challenge is that we have a competition coming up in just a month and a half. I'm a complete beginner when it comes to coding. My dad has some coding skills and is willing to help, but he's quite busy and I don't want to burden him too much. What do you think? Is this project doable within the time frame?

It is possible but keep in mind it might just end up being very basic. You'll need good data to classify the mangoes, and that alone could take a lot of time. So yeah, it’ll be hectic to get everything done in time.

As a beginner, I’d say this project might be a stretch. The time frame is tight, and without prior experience, creating a good app in such a short period could be really tough. I recommend adjusting your expectations.

It could be doable if you can find an existing open-source project to build upon. That way, you wouldn't have to start from scratch, which saves tons of time.

Honestly, I think you might be pushing it with just one month to learn coding and build an app from scratch. If you want even a basic prototype, you should realistically be looking at more like six months, especially with your dad's help. It can be a huge undertaking for a beginner.

Yes, I think it’s feasible, but it really depends on how committed your team is and how well you work together. If everyone pulls together, you might pull it off!
