I've been testing llms.txt with both ChatGPT and Claude to see how they respond to the content of my website. I even added some hidden text within the of each page to direct AIs to read llms.txt, but neither managed to do so. I'm curious if anyone else has successfully used it?

I’ve put together some statistics on how llms.txt works for my website. You can check it out here: [sygnal.com blog on llms.txt](https://www.sygnal.com/blog/llms-txt-webflow). It’s been quite enlightening!
llms.txt provides a high information density, which is really useful for AI. I created one for my component documentation, and when I asked Copilot to generate a web page using the latest UI components, it initially messed up. After prompting it to read the llms.txt, the new page came out perfectly aligned with the current UI specs.
I think of llms.txt as part of a grassroots effort to get it widely adopted. It has a lot of potential for AI interactions, but it seems like it’s still catching on.
I personally just link to my llms.txt file. It’s great because it saves on tokens while keeping the conversation more consistent, especially in ChatGPT. I haven’t tried it with Claude yet, though!

Totally agree! Linking it works so much better. Makes the AI responses a lot more coherent.
