Help! No Sound on My PC Through Headphones or Speakers

I've run into a frustrating issue where my PC won't produce any sound. I was working on some homework when I tried to plug in my wireless USB headphones, but I couldn't hear anything. I checked my speakers (which are Amazon Basics connected via USB and Aux), and those aren't working either. Despite restarting my computer multiple times, the problem persists. I've also looked at the volume mixer, and all outputs seem fine, but the green audio bar doesn't move when I try to play something, and I can't even get a test sound. Has anyone experienced this or have any suggestions?

If you still can't get sound, make sure your audio drivers are up to date. You can do this through the Device Manager. Right-click on the sound device and check for updates. Sometimes older drivers can cause issues.

Try checking your default audio device settings. Sometimes, it can be set to the wrong output. Right-click the sound icon in the taskbar, choose 'Playback devices,' and make sure you're selecting the right device as default. That might get your sound working again!

Just a thought, did you restart your PC after plugging in your headphones? It sounds silly, but sometimes it helps reset the audio device. I've had that work for me in the past!
