Do I need to worry about USB speeds on a B850 motherboard?

I'm setting up a build with a B850 motherboard and a Fractal Design case, and I'm curious about the USB ports. I want to ensure that all the built-in USB ports from the case can connect properly and won't be limited in speed. Since I'm new to this, I'm wondering if opting for a more affordable B850 could affect performance. I'm considering the Gigabyte B850 Gaming X WiFi 6E, and any advice would be appreciated!

Honestly, I wouldn't stress too much about USB speeds. I'm not a heavy USB user, so having USB 3.1 and a USB-C port is more than enough for me. It really depends on how much you plan to use USB devices.

USB speeds shouldn't be an issue as long as your B850 motherboard has all the front panel connectors. If the ports are available, you're good to go. You might want to check out PCPartPicker to confirm compatibility with your case.

Thanks! I'll check that out.

Just curious, which CPU are you planning to pair with the B850?

I'll be going with the 9600X. Why do you ask?
