I'm really freaking out right now because I forgot my iPhone passcode. I know the numbers and I can remember some old passcodes, but I just can't get this one in order, and now my phone is locked for 3 hours. It's my life on that phone—my Apple ID, Face ID, credit cards, everything important to me is in there. To make matters worse, I just realized my iCloud backup wasn't on, so if I have to reset my phone, I'll lose everything: notes, pictures, all my memories. I'm desperate for help! Is there really no way to prove it's me and get back in? If I go to Apple with my ID and any proof they need, will they help me, or is it really over? Has anyone ever managed to unlock their phone without wiping it? I'm feeling completely overwhelmed and just need some guidance!

I'm really sorry to hear what you're going through! From my understanding, if you don’t remember the passcode, it’s basically a dead end at that point. Apple typically can't unlock devices for security reasons. I suggest trying to remember the order of the numbers or writing them down and seeing if anything clicks. Good luck!
