What Could Be Causing My PC Crashes?

I've got a 13600k CPU paired with a 6700xt GPU, but I'm running into some issues. Whenever I try to load a game, my whole PC crashes. Last time this happened, it turned out to be a faulty power supply (PSU). I replaced it under warranty with a refurbished unit, and that fixed the problem—until now. I tried connecting my old PSU again, but the crashes resumed. I decided to order a different brand of PSU but canceled it after the old one started failing again. I considered the possibility that my GPU might be the issue, but when I used the integrated GPU, the game ran slowly without crashing. So, I recently got a 9060xt GPU, and it seemed to solve the problem temporarily. However, after a day, the crashing returned. Now I'm worried it might be my 13600k that's failing. I've ordered a new AMD CPU and motherboard since I'm running out of options. I've tested different RAM without success, and sometimes my secondary NVMe drive disappears from Windows. I also started getting error messages about AMD drivers timing out, and even trying older drivers hasn't helped. Does this sound like a CPU issue or is something else at play?

It sounds like a tough situation! I had a similar problem with my 14700K, and I was able to fix it only after updating the microcode. Have you tried using another CPU if you have one? If possible, take it to a repair shop so they can check it out step by step. Also, ruling out any driver or software issues by reinstalling Windows can be helpful. Just a thought!

I've already reinstalled Windows. I recently got a new motherboard and a 7800x3d CPU since I figured switching from Intel might help, but I'm still exploring my options!

It could be that you haven't updated your BIOS, especially with the CPU degradation problems that the 13 and 14 series have faced. You might need to consider RMAing your CPU if it's still under warranty.

I updated the BIOS as soon as the latest version was released. I just want to find a way to resolve this without having to replace too much!
