Is the Zornher ZH870 Driver Safe to Install?

I just received a Zornher ZH870 keyboard for my birthday, and while installing the recommended driver for it (which is optional for customization), I ran into a warning from both Windows Defender and Avast. I refrained from downloading the driver and now I'm curious if it's actually safe to install, or if it's just giving a false positive due to my anti-malware software.

I agree with others that it seems more like a false positive. The fact that 3 out of 70 antivirus programs are flagging it suggests it's not a widespread issue. Still, contacting Zornher for more details might help put your mind at ease.

It sounds like a classic case of a false positive, especially if you were getting warnings from antivirus software. Some customization drivers, like the one for your keyboard, often trigger alerts because of how they interact with system files. You could check out VirusTotal to see if others have flagged it too. If it's mostly safe and you trust the source, it might be okay to try.

Thanks for the advice! I might try reaching out to their support and see what they say. It's just frustrating when legitimate software gets flagged.

From what I can gather, it's likely just some unusual behavior of the driver that's causing the alert. It could use components like 'winring.0', which are sometimes flagged as suspicious but aren't necessarily harmful. If you're uneasy about it, I'd recommend reaching out to Zornher's customer support for clarification.
