I'm looking for a straightforward way to remotely access my friend's screen since he's in another state. He's using Windows 11, while I'm on Ubuntu 22. We tried AnyDesk, but it's now limited to just 5 minutes, which isn't enough for what we need. I want to be able to see his screen and work together without him having to log off or us being on the same local network. Are there any easy solutions for this?

Check out RustDesk! It's pretty similar to AnyDesk and should work just fine for your needs. You both just need to share your generated IDs and you can connect easily.
For a reliable option, try TeamViewer or NoMachine. TeamViewer is great for remote access and NoMachine has been my go-to for years. It's easy to set up and works well across networks.
You could also try GetScreen. It offers a free pricing tier and is user-friendly. Just check it out and see if it fits your needs!
Another option you might consider is Parsec, though keep in mind that it may not fully support Linux to act as a server. It's good for direct connections when it works.
I’ve had good luck with HoteDesk and RustDesk too. Just give each other your generated IDs and you’re good to go. Super simple!
