Hey folks! So, my boss just gave me an NVIDIA RTX 5090 Founders Edition (32GB) and has encouraged me to build a new PC rig around it. I'm currently working as a senior software developer and have recently transitioned to ML engineering. While my current setup is a laptop with a 5070 Ti—functional but lacking power—I'm excited about the potential of this new GPU.
I've gathered a few parts with the help of some AI guidance and input from colleagues, but with the sysadmin on vacation, I'm kinda on my own here. I could really use a second opinion on my build to make sure I'm heading in the right direction. You can check out my PCPartPicker link here: [PCPartPicker Build](https://nl.pcpartpicker.com/user/Airathias/saved/LgP3mG).
I've only got the GPU and peripherals sorted so far, so if you see anything that's missing or could improve my setup, please let me know!

Sounds like an awesome project! Just make sure you take your time with the build—it's going to be a beauty if you do it right. Best of luck!
Have you thought about checking if your workplace can hook you up with a workstation? Sometimes they can provide a rig that handles those powerful GPUs better and gives you a warranty—might save you some headaches down the line! But if you're keen to build it yourself, that's great too!

Yeah, we’re a pretty small company, so no hardware partners here. I enjoy building things, even if I’m a bit clueless. But I want this for personal use too, so I’ll take my chances!
