Can I Recover My Site After Issues with Adsterra Ads?

Hey folks,

I launched my new website earlier this year and I've been putting in a ton of effort, having already published over 5,000 pages! Things seemed to be going pretty smoothly until I decided to add Adsterra banner ads for some monetization. That's when I received a Google blacklist notification for my older site that was also using Adsterra—it turns out their network was leading users to malware installations through forced redirects!

While the older site managed to recover after I removed the harmful code, my new site now only has its homepage indexed and has completely vanished from Bing, where I used to get about 3,500 visitors daily.

In Google Search Console, my sitemap shows only 210 discovered pages out of around 5,000. Does that imply Google isn't even able to crawl my site anymore?

So, am I totally out of luck here, or is there still hope for recovery?

I totally get it, it's frustrating! But you shouldn't be too quick to panic; recovery is different for everyone and Google doesn’t really give us the play-by-play. Just keep working on your site while monitoring things. It's not likely they would permanently blacklist a site that’s fallen victim to a third-party issue. Maybe give it a bit of time and see if things improve. You might be surprised!

Exactly! Focus on keeping your site clean and improving content. Sometimes it just needs time to get back on track.

It's tough when you rely on ad networks like Adsterra without fully understanding the risks. They're known traffic brokers and unfortunately, their "flexibility" can lead to issues like forced redirects and malware. If you're serious about SEO, you'll want to avoid these types of networks, as Google takes trust seriously. Try focusing on creating more high-quality content, building backlinks from relevant sites, and cleaning up any leftover scripts. Be patient—it might take some time, but with good content, your site can bounce back!
